Solör Bioenergi acquires district heating operations in Åkersberga
Today, the transaction was completed, which means that Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB acquires the district heating operations in Åkersberga, Österåker municipality, from E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB. The purchase, which is part of Solör Bioenergi’s strategy to grow, means that Solör strengthens its position as a leading player in renewable energy.
Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB’s acquisition from E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB includes both the production facility and the network in Åkersberga. The production comprises approximately 70 GWh of district heating annually, which is delivered to around 95 customers in Åkersberga.
— The divestment of our district heating operations in Åkersberga is part of our continuous work to strategically review our business portfolio. With Solör as the owner, we see that the operations have good opportunities to develop further, says Charlotte Reidhav, Business Area Manager E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB.
Solör took over operations in December 2024. E.ON. will continue to operate the plant during a transition period until Solör is ready to take over.
— I think it is very exciting that we can do another deal with E.ON, ten years after we did our first deal with them. It feels good to take over a very nice plant, a good network and many important customers, Anders Pettersson, CEO Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme.
