Mullsjö district heating becomes part of Solör Bioenergi
Today, Solör Bioenergi takes over responsibility for the district heating operations in Mullsjö municipality, through an acquisition from Mullsjö Energi & miljö AB. The purchase, which is part of Solör Bioenergi’s strategy to grow, means that Solör strengthens its position as a leading player in renewable energy.
In December last year, the agreement was signed that means that Solör Bioenergi will buy the district heating assets from Mullsjö Energi & miljö AB, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mullsjö municipality. The district heating in Mullsjö comes from biofuel and each year 20 GWh of heat is produced and delivered to approximately 230 customers in the town.
Solör has previously operated district heating operations in the surrounding area, including in Falköping, Herrljunga and Kvänum.
With Solör Bioenergi now taking over the operations, the dialogue with customers will take place from Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB. Otherwise, the district heating will function as before.
— The district heating operation in Mullsjö is an excellent fit for us, both in terms of size and its proximity to other operations that we operate. In addition, it has been a very smooth process with Mullsjö Municipality, which guarantees good cooperation in the future, says Anders Pettersson, CEO of Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme.
