New expansion for Solör Bioenergi – acquiring district heating in Vallentuna

Today it became clear that Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB is acquiring the district heating operations in Vallentuna north of Stockholm from E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB. The deal is a strategic step in Solör’s growth plan and contributes to further strengthening the company’s position in renewable energy.

Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme AB’s acquisition from E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB includes both the production facility and the network in Vallentuna. Approximately 67 GWh of district heating is produced annually and delivered to over 240 customers in Vallentuna. The heat, which is produced primarily from residual products from the forest industry, is distributed to villas, apartment buildings and commercial properties.
— We are pleased to complete the divestment to a well-known player in the district heating market. This is another step on the path to strengthening our strategic focus on large-scale district heating, says Charlotte Reidhav, CEO of E.ON Energiinfrastruktur AB.

Solör will take over the plant from 1 July. E.ON. will continue to operate the plant during a transition period until Solör is ready to take over.
— This acquisition is another deal with E.ON, ten years after we made our first deal with them. The acquisition strengthens our presence in the Stockholm region. It also feels good to take over a very nice plant, a good network and many important customers, Anders Pettersson, CEO Solör Bioenergi Fjärrvärme.
